Fairly Wicked Tales--an update

Due to a lack of stories that fit the guidelines and are hitting the mark with the submissions readers, we will be extending the deadline for submissions to the upcoming anthology, Fairly Wicked Tales, to April 30th. This will push the release date back until the end of June/early July.

I'm including a link to the Wikipedia entry for Grimm's Fairy Tales (click here). You do not have to use a Grimm tale; Hans Christian Anderson's tales will do just as well. But you do have to reverse the villains and heroes. I'm not looking for a simple retelling of the old tale. And I'm especially not looking for a modern version of the original fairy tale.

What I am looking for is a reversal of roles between the accepted hero/heroine and the villain/villainess. I would like the tales set in the time period the original tale was set in, which is going to mean most tales are set in medieval times.

And above all, I want to see well written work. The length is preferred at 3000 to 8000 words, but most authors who know me know that I'm never married to a word count. If the story is good, I can overlook a few words more or less.
