Samantha Moore writes in pictures of the gritty realities of life in the French Quarter during the Dirty Thirties. She paints in words, describing the lives of prostitutes both before and during their careers, bringing home each story in poignant detail. The power of money, human connection, friendship, pride, and love are explored through the eyes of Nadine Frost, whose ability to endure and survive is reminiscent of Velma Kelly in "Chicago". Nadine may not think she's valued, or special, but by the time I finished the book, I felt like she was an old friend. Thank you, Samantha!

This is a great book and deserves a review such as this! Way to go Samantha!
